Lubrication agents

Pragolub 1112
lubrication agent to facilitate forming and drawing operations of metals

Pragolub 1112
lubrication agent to facilitate forming and drawing operations of metals

A liquid lubrication agent, free of any oil substances and easy to be rinsed with water, which facilitates metal forming operations such as stamping or cold-drawing. Besides, it features an enhanced inter-operations anticorrosion protection of the metallic sections formed. It should be applied, together with soap or stearate lubrication, after phosphating process to improve sliding of the sections to be formed. The Pragokor 1112 agent should be added to the soap or stearate solutions currently being used for drawing, in about 10% amount, related to the soap content. This enables the soap concentration for drawing to be cut down by 20 – 50 % and the application temperature by 20 - 30 °C while boosting lifetime of the soap bath substantially. Furthermore, the agent is able to restraint formation of incrustation of fat acids in the soap bath due to the drag-out of acids components from the previous phosphating operation into the soap solutions. As a sole lubricating agent, Pragolub 1112 proved in the concentration 1 – 5 % for cold-drawing and stamping operations of steel, brass and aluminium, e.g. for stamping of the gun cartridges made of phosphated steel or brass sheets, thread forming and inscriptions stamping with stamping dies. In all applications with Pragolub 1112 like those, lifetime of the cutting tools are extended substantially.

The agent may be applied by both immersion and spraying at the recommended operating concentration and temperature.

Pragolub 1300
lubrication, passivation and water-repellent agent for metal forming and drawing

Pragolub 1300
lubrication, passivation and water-repellent agent for metal forming and drawing

A liquid agent for lubrication, passivation and hydrophobization of activated metallic surfaces, predominantly for copper alloys and silver. As a result of a chemical reaction on the metallic surface, the agent is able to create chemisorpted or chemically bonded monomolecular layers even on the easily sulfides-forming metals. It should be applied on the metallic surfaces being preactivated by pickling, degreasing, metal plating, barrel-tumbling etc. The agent was particularly developed as a permanent surface treatment of gun cartridges because, after lubrication with it, the surface friction between the moving cartridge and the magazine, gun-barrel and gunlock at both ambient as well as enhanced surface temperatures at fire is being reduced significantly. This enables to increase the shooting cadence and overall reliability of the machined arms. Unlike the common lubrication with oils, vaselines or waxes, the impregnation with Pragolub 1300 is much more durable without easy-to-be washed or wiped off at handling.

Pragolub 1400
emulsion of lubrication agent for metals forming

Pragolub 1400
emulsion of lubrication agent for metals forming

Pragolod 1400 is a liquid water-based lubrication emulsion which makes the forming operations of metallic sections, such as shaping, pressing and drawing, more easy, the forming tools employed are being greased and cooled down at these operations as well. Furthermore, it will impart temporary inter-operation protection of steel and non-ferrous metals against corrosion. It contains no oil matters and is easy to be rinsed with water. The organic substances contained are easily biodegradable.

To be used at all forming operations of the common metallic sections made of steel, copper, zinc and aluminium and their alloys and, in a way, as a replacement of the rape seed oil-based lubrications and may even substitute both phosphating as well as soap lubricating processes before the cold forming operations. As a replacement of the rape seed oil lubrication, the overall consumption of organic matters will drop substantially (for about one tenth) in the forming operations. The agent will extend the life fo the forming tools considerably as well.
